2. Audio Data Collection

Strict Privacy Commitment: Pocket Hive collects audio data solely for the purpose of immediate on-device or secure cloud transcription during hive inspections. This audio is processed instantly to generate text notes and acoustic health diagnoses. We do not store, sell, or listen to your raw audio recordings. Once the transcription/analysis is complete, the raw audio data is permanently discarded.

3. Image Data & AI Analysis

Photos & visual Intelligence: When you use features like "Digital Twin" or AI inspection via camera, we may process your images using secure third-party AI providers (such as Google Gemini) solely to extract beekeeping data (e.g., frame counts, pest detection).

Your photos are NOT used to train public AI models. Image data is transiently processed for the purpose of providing the service and is not shared with advertisers.

4. Location Data

We collect your location data only when you explicitly grant permission. This data is used exclusively to:

  • Retrieve hyper-local weather forecasts.
  • Predict local nectar flows (Bloom) relevant to your apiary.
We do not track your movements or sell your location history.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your hive inspection data, including transcribed notes, weather data, and photos, are stored securely on your device and synchronized with our secure cloud servers (Firebase) to ensure you can access your data across devices. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) to protect your data during transmission and AES encryption for storage.

6. Third-Party Services

We may use trusted third-party services for essential app functions. These partners strictly adhere to data protection standards:

  • Google Firebase: Authentication and secure database hosting.
  • Google Gemini AI: Advanced processing for image/audio analysis.
  • RevenueCat: Managing subscription status and processing payments.

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.
